Public Showing of CRACK on June 15th 2012

CRACK – a new work of contemporary dance by German choreographer Arco Renz will be presented at the Department of Performing Arts on Friday June 15 at 6:30pm.

CRACK has been presented in Singapore, Belgium and Jakarta and we look forward to bringing the work home before its next European tour in August 2012.

Tickets are available at our office for $2.00.

See the flyer below and more info underneath the flyer for further details.

ABOUT THE WORK

CRACK was commissioned by the Singapore Arts Festival where it premiered in May 2011 and produced in collaboration with Kobalt Works (Belgium) with the support of the Goethe Institut and with additional support of the Flemish Authorities.   The work was presented in four venues in Belgium in March 2012 as well as the 2012 Indonesian Dance Festival and will be featured in three international dance festivals in Berlin, Groningen and Zurich in August 2012.

We are very grateful to the Goethe Institut for making this performance possible.  The Goethe Institut has launched an extensive initiative called tanzconnexions, which provides choreographers, dancers and dance enthusiasts with a wealth of information on contemporary dance in the Asia-Pacific region.  www.goethe.de/tanzconnexions
